Podcast Recommendations
from LightningPod

Want to listen to something good? Follow our podcast playlists!
The hard truth: You can't be a great podcaster if you don't also listen to podcasts. There is a huge, diverse world of audio out there, and your audience is exploring it. You should, too.

Word-of-mouth marketing is a proven way to get listeners; in that spirit, we've made podcast playlists to share what we're working on and listening to.

New recommendations are added every day or so, and old ones are cycled out.
Listen on Spotify
If you use Spotify to listen to podcasts, then following our recommendations couldn't be easier!

This link will open the playlist in the Spotify app; click on the plus button to follow it.

... And that's it! You can find the playlist & see what's new in the "Your Library" tab.

Listen elsewhere (first step)
If you use any other major podcasting app — for example, Apple Podcasts, Overcast, or Pocket Casts — you can follow our recommendations by subscribing to the LightningPod Recommends RSS feed. New recs will appear in your podcast app automatically!

First, copy the URL linked here, or select and copy it below.

Once you've done that, scroll down to find your app...
Listen in Apple Podcasts

Once you've copied the URL above, it's super easy to add it to your Apple Podcasts app.

First, go to the "Library" tab. Then, tap on the three dots in the upper-right corner. Select "Follow a Show by URL..."

Paste the URL into the box that pops up, tap on "Follow," and you're done!
Listen in Overcast
In Overcast, you can subscribe to this playlist by first tapping the magnifying glass in the upper-right corner. Then, tap on "Add URL."

Paste in the URL you copied above and tap the "Add URL" button. And you're done!

Listen in Pocket Casts

Pocket Casts gives you a couple different ways to follow a new show via its URL. In either the Discover tab (center, magnifying glass) or the Podcasts tab (bottom left, grid of icons), tap on the search bar that says "Search podcasts or add RSS URL."

Paste the URL you copied above in here, and then tap "Search." The LightningPod Recommends feed will appear; tap the + icon to add it to your subscriptions.
Listen in YouTube Music
YouTube Music is the app that replaced Google Podcasts in 2024, and just like Spotify, it can play both audio and video podcasts.

After opening the app, open the Library tab (bottom right) and then tap on "Podcasts." Tap "+ Add podcast" and, finally, "Add a podcast by RSS feed."

Paste the RSS feed in the window that appears, then tap "Add." The app may take a few minutes to process it, but after that, you're done!

Listen in another app
Other popular apps, such as Podcast Republic and Podcast Addict, also make it easy to add a new podcast subscription by pasting in an RSS URL. If you're not sure about your app, try pasting the URL into the search bar, or searching online for an official guide.
